or quinn can sign a one yr deal

Quinn has very little choice on the length and money involved in this next contract.

He either sits at home or signs what is offered.

Fortunately for him, the team will deal in good faith, as they have with all their players.

ya he can  sign watever he wants  on term if he signs a yr show me deal ge can sign a offer sheet or demand a trade hes gonna get paid large if you dont think he is your clueless

petey hughes are gonna get mcdavid/karlsson  marner money in a few yrs  flat cap or not. Hughes leads nhl dmen in scoring by 3 points as a 21 yr old and petey is a ppg player 6 yrs earlier than sedins were. Both are superstars  and  we need a brink truck to back up the cash

I haven't found a topic on this, so here goes.

The discussion about these guys' future always seem to assume that they want to stay, given enough lucrative contracts. That there is an established truth. I'm a sucker for loyalty, but can't see any reason for that. I mean, would you stay here if in their position? Why?

I may have missed something. Maybe they've stated a wish to be a part of Vancouver for a long time. If so, great. If not, I would like to see a broader discussion about the team Anno Domini EPQHELCE (EP QH Entry-Level Contract Ending).  Pronounced i-pi-kju-el-tjee :)

GCG!

Hmm. I debated answering you cuz it seems silly.  But I thought ok. Maybe you are sincere.

Neither one of the Canucks 2 franchise players has any choice in the matter for 5 years as they are RFA's until after 26.

Should we worry that they want to leave before that and demand a trade?  Of course not.  Both of them have leadership qualities and in every interview they come across as quality guys.

Should we worry that when they finally become UFA's they will want to leave?

Hmm. Lots more to worry about these days so I'm gonna go ahead and say no and wish you a nice day.

Wow. I got a clear answer and left the thread. But now I see that some kept posting, insinuating my stupidity. Well, what can I say? I didn't know there was such clause in their contracts. Simple as.

Now, I had a tiny premonition this could happen. We are, after all, in a forum where the binary, absolute answers are few. And those places always attract the snotty know it all-people, unified only by the love for a team and that they're all named Jeremy. And here you are, confirming it :)

Actually, I'm a bit fascinated by you guys. Not only that you bother to write these posts, but also that you seem to make it through the day without a trustee. And that I can't get; how someone smart enough to spell would care to write that kind of pointless answers. And in such quantities. (I understand there may be some kind of neurodevelopment and/or intellectual disorder involved. But that is not a funny thing, and I will not joke about it.)

There’s no moral here. That would have had to include another story, with a nasty ending filled with hate and fear. And you don’t like those stories, Jeremy. They remind you too much of life AFK. Of unpaid bills, eye contact and decent behaviour. Of a world were the girls are many, but the choices few. And you're not ready yet for that life. Not yet. That is something I know.

Perhaps you just need to grow a skin. It's alright to be wrong. Move on and don't let what people say bother you, because they clearly are given your post. Obviously learn from it, but if you already expected such behaviour and are still willing to post, then why fear it when it happens? ;)

Just a suggestion.............perhaps change the Title of this tread to: The axiom that JB and TG will stay,

That's a more relevant and immediate question than the QH and EP40 one given the Canucks recent fortunes - I would think!

If it meant I could start with a nickname not huggy bear or petey I'd take my chances elsewhere
