I'm always backing Tyler Myers.

He's so maligned and underrated on CDC. So stoked he got one tonight and really appreciate his leadership going forward.

He did play a steady game tonight. Didn't overdo it. If he plays that way all the time, great!

Francesco gave both Benning and Green a vote of confidence before the game.  That is usually the kiss of death.  Luckily we won tonight.  I guess that was the motivation this team needed.  This was never a player issue.  We have the players to succeed.  Let’s see what happens on Monday.

Great win.

Strung three straight games where we outplayed the opponents.

It's hard to win games in the NHL and I hope this game is the turning point where the players start to realize that they need to play for one another to win.

No bud.

Since that very incident, that’s exactly how it doesn’t work.

Ensuring Tkachuk doesn't play again will likely prolong the careers of actually respectable players.  I stand by Moore deserving everything that happened to him, and Tkachuk deserves everything he has coming to him.  If the league doesn't like that, they can do their job and give that gutless coward a lifetime ban like the should have already.

But but he didn’t transform Virtanen in the summer ..... ;)

What a difference to see a rested Canuck team that finally had a chance to get in some practice time, essential to integrate new players into the defence. Not a weak player on the ice tonight for Vancouver in a game almost entirely without unrecovered mistakes. Even Eriksson was effective tonight.

I thought the defence was especially good and really it was only Markstrom that held the Flames in it. I thought our first year guys were  especially effective - Juolevi - calm and effective, and made a really impressive pass in the third period in the offensive from the point to the far side corner- gosh knows how he saw it - wonderful read and perfect execution.

Hoglander has an amazing work rate.

Markstrom was definitely the Flames best player - he held them in it.
