MacEwen's Mom: "Kinda hard to be a difference maker when you only get to play under 4 minutes..."

I really noticed our lefthanded defensemen playing the right boards in the offensive zone. Almost everytime the Canucks cycled the puck up the right wall, they struggled to pick it up on their backhand, and with any pressure they gave it up and it was either an oddman or close to an oddman rush. It takes a little more time to get to puck onto their forehand and They're not getting that time. I can see why Green like righty's on right and lefty's on left. It just seems another reason they can't maintain ozone pressure.

Take said They're still forcing some plays and giving the puck away.

I don't think Zack's Mom's comment bother either J.B. or Travis in the least.

Both are former nhl hockey players, after getting punched in the face on numerous occasions, words mean little.

And didn't Green get kissed on the lips during a goal celebration as well? Haha!

I don't personally see this tweet as a big deal. On the other hand, I'm glad that Green's getting criticism for how he "rolls" lines. Last game was a good effort, but no dice. Honestly, I am not willing to write this team off. We need to see another coach to see exactly what changes can be made. Sadly, I think this season has already been written off by upper management.

Pretty sure Green's not going to be extended though

Ok... I'm going to put this whole scenario in terms of reality, yes reality! There is such a thing, trust me, and it's a hard one for people to actually come to terms with is that to expect a finished product results before it's even finished... That's exactly what I see pretty much all of the media and the fans that follow their (for the most part) b u l l s h I t!

If it wasn't so f'n whiney lil biotech pathetic it would be funny and although it is in aome ways, but lame as $&!#e overall...

Thing about reality, some can't handle it...

So if people want to think the re-build is over and THIS is the finished product and it sucks and should be torn down, seriously.. it would just happen all over again or we'd be back to a team that's a soft regular season great team and gets the boot in the first round as it usually happens.. wooohooo!

How is that working out so far?

2 more seasons, like it or not.. that's reality no matter who is coaching or gm'g..

Offensive.

Also Big Mac would likely knock the $&!#  out you both for making those comments.

My intent of posting was to say "don't trivialize his parents"

Dumb Nuck got it immediately.  You obviously read something else into it

You know the team is not doing well even a payer's mom tries to coach the coach.

and you can only coach the team you have, not want to have... this team is a cpl of moves away from being that team but WAH it's not already done yet. Geeez!

Honestly Green should go before Benning. I'm not sold on his systems and his coaching decisions at times are head scratching. I think he's a great assistant but head coach? Either that or he should have experienced assistants around him not rookies.

Good points but there is no coaches supermarket and if there is one Aquaman seems to like shopping in the seasonal section looking for a deal.  Joking aside, even hiring a veteran coach doesnt guarantee anything....

Apparently there was a post made on the CDC homepage from the Canucks thanking Benning for his time here. Dated for Monday Feb 14th. It was quickly taken down. I'm afraid Jimbo is already gone:(

Too bad if this is true cause the team is still trending to compete and by the end of next season all/most of the bad contracts are gone...  As a first time GM, I was expecting some growing pains and he seems to still be learning how to be a GM; hope the move Aquaman makes is to hire a president that can work with JB - fire Weisbrod instead ....

Benning had growing pains for sure. But if you looked at the last 2 years of deals he's made, Pearson for Gudbranson, Miller for 1st and 3rd, Toffoli 2nd Madden (they were gonna work out an extension but COVID and flat cap) Its not all on him. Its a shame to see most turn on him the guy who got us Petey, Hughes, Demko, Hoglander, Juolevi, MacEwen, Gaudette (tough season like most of team) on roster while still having Podkolzin, Tryamkin, McDonough, Rathbane, Woo, Focht, Cosmar ,Jasek and Lind coming. Not all will make it but he was done an exceptional job at re-buliding this team. If someone just took Benning's pocketbook on July 1 or got him a financial advisor we'd be golden.

At the end of the day I always respected Jim for being honest and almost too forward with us about what was going on. He has made mistakes, but ultimately years down the line whether he's here or not, he will have built the core that will win us our first stanley cup in franchise history and I hope people will look bad and appreciate all the good and not just look at some bad signings.

Good point and I hope JB wins with his core.  If they are going to fire someone start with the coaching staff and hire a president that can work with JB.

Do you know at what time and what day it was posted?

It was posted like 4 hours ago and had the publish date as February 14th (which is Monday). Likely was getting typed into the site and instead of save draft they hit publish.
