It was posted like 4 hours ago and had the publish date as February 14th (which is Monday). Likely was getting typed into the site and instead of save draft they hit publish.

The 14th is a Sunday...

I don't personally see this tweet as a big deal. On the other hand, I'm glad that Green's getting criticism for how he "rolls" lines. Last game was a good effort, but no dice. Honestly, I am not willing to write this team off. We need to see another coach to see exactly what changes can be made. Sadly, I think this season has already been written off by upper management.

Pretty sure Green's not going to be extended though.

Gotta agree with the moms on this one.

Mac is one of the few guys on the team that makes things happen on his own with his speed and size.  Let him play and develop.

oh man, Zack is probably super embarrassed hahaha.  True or not.

Yep.   Playing Zack 4 minutes a game might just also have to do with the fact we are constantly behind the 8-ball, one or two goals that is.    Torts, AV or whomever would also be parking his butt to the bench at that point and double shifting the players that have a better chance at getting a goal.    Just goes to show the way this season is going.     For sure he's a valuable member of the team this year - condensed schedules breath fire into chippy play - and that's when his game is needed the most.     Overall he's averaging around 7.5-8 minutes TOI this year

Benning had growing pains for sure. But if you looked at the last 2 years of deals he's made, Pearson for Gudbranson, Miller for 1st and 3rd, Toffoli 2nd Madden (they were gonna work out an extension but COVID and flat cap) Its not all on him. Its a shame to see most turn on him the guy who got us Petey, Hughes, Demko, Hoglander, Juolevi, MacEwen, Gaudette (tough season like most of team) on roster while still having Podkolzin, Tryamkin, McDonough, Rathbane, Woo, Focht, Cosmar ,Jasek and Lind coming. Not all will make it but he was done an exceptional job at re-buliding this team. If someone just took Benning's pocketbook on July 1 or got him a financial advisor we'd be golden.

At the end of the day I always respected Jim for being honest and almost too forward with us about what was going on. He has made mistakes, but ultimately years down the line whether he's here or not, he will have built the core that will win us our first stanley cup in franchise history and I hope people will look bad and appreciate all the good and not just look at some bad signings.

First Stanley Cup - then we should strike the bronze and get the statue ready.   I'm not so sure about that, but for sure he's done enough for HOPE again.   And he's done a better then average job overall (there are 31-32 teams out there).

Agree with that but i'm not convinced we win will be contenders yet.   Entirely depends on what he does with the cap savings by letting the big three go...and the "banked cap" from both his mistakes and the fact his young guns were better then expected this early.   If EP and QHs took one more year the b!tching on this site would be a lot calmer (well maybe then we'd be b!tching about how long it's taken).    There wouldn't be any cap issues.   The ONLY thing that worries me at this point, is where all this cap space goes.   Pearson, Beagle, Sutter, Edler, AR all have roster spots that have to be filled.   Is Zack McEwen a real upgrade on any of these spots?  Hmmm.   JV maybe too.  Even as a depth player we for sure could do a lot worse right?

We aren't even at the "finishing touches" phase of this rebuild.   We have three top four D at the moment, two of which are fine, one could be a super star or just a third paring power play specialist.   Goaltending so far this year hasn't even been average.   Demko isn't a lock yet.

For sure free agency will help plug a holes.

IMO, the closest comparable is Detroit, we are doing a lot better then they are so far - so won't complain too much.   I have no idea if JB or another GM can get us to to next level.   But i do know JB made the right choices this off-season, is a good - very good drafter compared to his peer group AND historically, and that we were faced with 12 years between cup finals when the league was different and a lot less teams.     So never thought we would make it with this core - maybe parts of this one and the next one.   JB has offered HOPE ...  more then expected.   For that i'm grateful.   Love this new team.   Think it could do great things.   Will it?  Who knows - a maybe is better then not a chance though.

Apparently there was a post made on the CDC homepage from the Canucks thanking Benning for his time here. Dated for Monday Feb 14th. It was quickly taken down. I'm afraid Jimbo is already gone:(

Not rolling all the lines is counterproductive (imo) cause it leads to gaffes from overplaying the same players and from anxious/disengaged players not playing enough.  The good teams like Vegas seems to have a very engaged team cause they seem to emphasize rolling four lines...

Ask his mom to look around the league. The better '4 minute' guys move up because they take advantage of their 4 mins. Think Hogs at 4 min how quickly he would move up.

Zack is a bottom 3. Make the most of it, get paid for it and enjoy being 1 of 700 people to be in the league.

shes definately right the coaching here is garbage. The coach constantly plays crappy vets over physical and more talented younger players.

roussel myers take bone head  penalties every game no benching.

horvat and miller have shown no heart  where are u bo your the captain havent scored in what 8 games  and hoglanders holding up your line.

macewen gets no minutes chatfield was first pairing over juolevi why hes basically megna and chaput  minor league grunts.

So funny no one calls out bo but jake gets called out constantly.

I remember sedins ripping into him for hitting a player then people ripped into him for partying on covid. Jaker  can hit make good hockey plays but not playing 7 mins a game like big mac.  If anything bo and roussel should get benched a game maybe they will work hard to earn minutes. Bo definately aint linden thats for sure.

This a bit of an insight, this lady lives in PEI and what she knows is what she hears from her son. It would seem like a little bit of discontent within the room?  Watch out Zac JB is not a charitable man if folks challenge him, Gilman, Brackett et al
