It's almost as if having absurdly good goaltending and squeaking out of lots of tight games (often in OT/SO) isn't a sustainable model for winning.

INB4 "covid injuries luongo recapture refereeing" and pretty much every other excuse in the book instead of facing the facts.

Some people will spin this as "we were trending up until the injuries hit" when really the only reason we aren't bottom-feeding alongside Ottawa right now was due to a simply unsustainable run by Demko.

Ok, will there be anyone left to trade?  It seems as if everyone who we would want to move is going to be hurt.

Be careful Benn!!

I can only hope that the injuries are short enough that they are back before the deadline or long enough that the player could be limped to the end of the regular season on LTIR/Conditioning but be good for the playoffs so that a completely cap strapped team could add them without having to fit them in

doesn't look that way. Jake is going to hurt himself later today picking up a soda cracker in all likelihood.

Losing Bo just sucks. Everyone knew it was a long shot, but at least they were playing for something and were improving. Maybe we'll be lucky and it will just be a bruise.

That's why there's a tsunami of injuries.  That protects them for being traded.  Just watch Benn join the walking wounded in the next week then all of them "spring to life" after trade deadline.    Same thing every year!  Why would a guy like Sutter want to be traded when he got it made in the shade at the Canucks country club!

If anyone thought we were gonna win both games in regulation against the Habs and Jets you only have yourself to blame for being let down.

Theyre not gonna go on some 15 game winning streak. It’s gonna have to be like win 4 then lose 1 or 2 down the stretch. Living and dying with every with or loss is pointless.

Let’s wait and see what happens tomorrow night and then how the games in hand go. With the flames fizzling out and 6 games left against the Oilers theres still opportunity to get back in the fight.

Oh and stop looking at percentages! They’re pointless.

You bet.  A few losses or wins the next couple of games won't mean we are out of back in either.  Well a few losses would probably do it.   Canucks need to win 2/3 starting last game to make it....unlikely?  Sure.  But this is hockey and stranger things have happened.

Exactly!

The Habs or Oilers going on a 5 or 6 game losing skid isn’t outside the realm of possibility.

That coupled with the Canucks winning 4 or 5 in a row and suddenly things look a lot different.

As long as there’s still hope fans just need to sit back and enjoy the ride. Just be thankful that we even have a chance. A couple weeks ago we definitely couldn’t say that.

Toffoli was supposed to miss 3 games this week but looks like team caught covid just in time...

Too bad the canucks didn't get a break earlier in the season.someone should have faked it...

The Canucks curse this season seem to be Toffoli.I think there was a reason game where he scored the GTG giving the Habs an extra point.
