86Viking
Arizona holds Emil's rights, he is the older brother of Petey's and just happens to be leading the SHL in scoring this year and he is a C. Bring his brother in to finish off the season and see how he fairs? Being around his younger bro might do Elias some good. It is a long shot as he is 27 and never cracked the NHL but had respectable AHL numbers and seems to have taken a big step offensively this year. Virtanen & Sautner/Brisebois for Crouse & Emil?

Is there a reason that you have over 8000 posts and just over 3000 upvotes? Hmmm guess it will be one of those eternal questions.
-DLC-
I saw this on Twitter the other day too. The Pettdins? Sure, why not?
ForzaTikare
Pettersson isnt playing C this year, he is moved to the Wing. He will also be a UFA after this year and has multiple NHL teams offering him 1-way deals according to rumours in Sweden

Could careless about it, I am here to talk Canucks hockey 1

Emil isnt at all like Elias if we look at style of play, he doesnt have EPs vision and skating, he does have a good shot and good hockey IQ though. I can't see him pusing for a top 6 spot in a team, maybe a Baertschi type of player thats decent in a third line IF that line is offensive-minded and can slot up in the 2nd if needed

For sure Sedin fans would love to see a pair of brothers on the Canucks again, just like those clammering for us to draft the last Hughes brother

He wont bring the same chemistry together with Elias that Hank and Danny has together, playing together from the age of 2. He wouldnt even be looked at as of playing the same line or anything. Let some other team take the shot on him. Will prolly cost something like 1.5mx3 one-way to tie him up. I wouldnt do that (even if i love Emil as a Timrå fan)

Got some games with us but we didn't retain him past the season.

Nic Dowd was acquired from LAK for Jordan Subban.

Popular Post Hogs & Podz
It's a dicey move because if it doesn't work, it may be very difficult for Petey. We can't afford to potentially create a drama for Petey when it can be avoided. Pros do not outweigh the cons. 1 2 1

Yeah I was just thinking about the move now that you mention it. 14 games, 2 assists then out of the league for three years despite being a relatively young 2nd round pick. Weird time for the Canucks.

NewbieCanuckFan
I STILL remember myself being ticked off at why the Canucks didn’t move heaven on earth at obtaining ANOTHER twin brother decades ago. Yes, it was ANOTHER Swedish twin brothers combo. Patrik and Peter Sundstrom! Former Canuck Patrik was a very solid C for the Canucks forming one half of a deadly forward unit with Tony Tanti. Pat Quinn later dealt Sundstrom as the main piece in order to get Captain Kirk and Greg Adams!
