Montreal has the balls to change coaches because they can't stand having a season go down the drain. Even though they are playing well better than us too, but they still fired the coach.

Us? Oh another year of crap? Sure.

Reactionary move removing the head coach and downgraded. The Canadiens whom were in a slide will now keep sliding lol.

Awesome opportunity for Burrows though.

there 100% getting Gerard Gallant , and watch us be stuck with no names again

If Gallant was such a great coach then how come Seattle hasn't hired him yet?  Dude got fired from a stacked roster, remember that.

Not sure why Montreal did this.

They are in play off contention with 22 points in 18games, good for 4th spot.

3 points up  on Calgary with a game in hand

4 points up on Vancouver with 5 games in hand

9 points up on  Ottawa with 3 games in hand

1 point behind Winnipeg, same games played

3 points behind Edmonton, with 3 games in hand

8 points behind Toronto with 2 games in hand.

Something else, other than play off concerns going on?

Perhaps disagreement in personnel deployment?

Bergevin wanting certain players to get more ice time?

Yeah, their current record doesn't justify the firing.

This makes no sense to me, They weren't even doing that bad. 9-5-4. But props to management for having a pair to make changes, Unlike the joke of the personnel we have. Losing 50 plus yrs and counting..

If you think it’s a reactionary move you haven’t been following the Canadiens very closely.  This should have happened last season.

Congrats to Burrows, but it would have been great if he became an assistant with the Canucks.

Yup.  He played with passion and determination every shift.  If he can instill half of that into his players they will succeed.  None of the Canuck's coaches (now that Malhotra is gone) ever played that way.  I wonder if Bieksa would take an assistant coaching job?

We lose Manny to Toronto and Burr goes to Montreal. But we are holding on to Green, Baumer and Brown. For reasons I guess. Montreal fired a coaching staff that was 9-5-4. We are holding on to a 8-13-2 coaching staff, this is a record for a team that just went 3 rounds deep in the playoffs. With that said, I understand it's a pandemic and firing a coaching staff kinda puts us in a tough spot. Especially if the potential candadites are in the US. They'd have to quarantine for 2 weeks before coaching the team. Still annoying we are losing out on great former players to other teams. We should be first in line for these guys. Or in Manny's case holding on to him. He was the one thing I liked about our coaching staff.

That’s all fine snd good. But there’s still a big story here that’s being almost totally ignored just because Burrows is involved.

You keep talking about a big story that is being ignored, then you ignore it.
