In the r/hockey post of the firing, habs fans were complaining that Julien just rolled 4 lines, didn't utilize young players, and preferred vets

Sound familiar?

 Cough, Willie D, cough

Also,

And yet they destroyed us... $hit, how bad are we?

Pretty much like Torts when he was here.

Is this really the best CDC can come up with??? Claude sweaty pig Julien??? No no no no no nooooooo...

10 years has passed since that lying turd was standing complaining about the embellishing  Canucks, all while Bruins led by Marchand were diving all over the place. @makaveli made some fab videos regarding this at the time. Maybe time to revisit those...
Greens tenure may be coming to an end, but please don’t let us have to see that piece of garbage in charge of the Canucks. Never.

No to Gallant.

3 teams have already not hired him. And Seattle who is in position to hire him hasn't.

It's clearly not his win rate. There's something else no one is talking about that teams aren't hiring him.

(It could be anything. Does he want control of what players the team gets? Is he too abusive to players? A skeleton in the closet? He like's disco?)

Whatever it is, if Ron Francis is not hiring him. I'd stay away.

Good questions; perhaps Gallant & Francis had some (not so good) history during there during there playing days (?).  Preferably, I hope the Canucks would hire a team president (that can work with JB) first; then try a different staff with this roster and if they are still struggling then perhaps it is time to move on from JB (still hoping he wins with his core)..

Both Gallant & Julien are not afraid of benching the veterans in there team and some in our locker room are perhaps not used to this cause our current staff do certainly have there favorites & the usual suspects, that gets benched.

Preferably, a coach that like to roll four lines regardless of talent in the roster would be a good start - imo..

This is going to sound incredibly "glass half full" but the team is somewhat trending in the right direction. No, there is no big winning streaks or anything resembling them but the team is at least giving themselves a fighting chance in games now. The frozen cap is killing teams that were already going to have cap issues and the Canucks are a good example of that.

Offer Malhotra the job.

With two experienced assistants.

He's been there.  Heart and soul guy.

Lindenesque dedication to our blue and green. Mop up the season. If he does well we'll see about next year.

He's a screamy psychopath with alleged physical confrontations with players and staff.

Allegedly

If that is the case I can see why teams pass on that. Ownership doesn't want another Bertuzzi style lawsuit. I get innocent until proven guilty, but the team needs to cover itself as well.

Have you ever heard of someone being kicked off of a team bus mid trip with his luggage and fired?

Have you ever heard of someone being fired and removed from a team plane on the tar-mac?

Even weirder it happened to the same person!

:bigblush:

Gallant would be a good fit, we have lots of young players.. We need that works well with young players...

Julien is more for veteran team... I don't think he is a good fit here.......

Rather have Green he has worked good with younger players..

Don't like how loyal he is will Roussel and Beagle..

Come on Roussel should not be on third line 4th line only and sitting games...

Like to see Gaudette on wing beside Horvat..

1. Boeser -- Petterson -- Gaudette

2. Hoglander -  Horvat  --   Virtanen

3. Pearson -- Miller  -- Sutter    ----  ( Motte )

4. MacEwen - Beagle - ((Hawryluk - He will add energy and plays with edge, more talented then Roussel )

Gaudette needs look on wing beside Pettersson for 5 games...

Hawryluk healthy, younger fast talented. .  Bailey 6'4 winger , adds speed, grit

Roussel must sit more game in press box....

Hawryluk and Motte together on line soon I hope...

There were reports he addressed the team in tears in the locker room after Game 7 (we were all in tears tbf), plus the directive with Gillis to focus on size vs speed/skill,  I would say it affected him bigly.

You had me until bigly

No definitely not.

Franzen and Holmstrom dished out and received a lot more abuse though.

Thats the good thing about Babcocks teams. He has players that know their roles and play them perfectly. Right now on the Canucks I see a lot of lost players.

Exactly, he molded their soft spoken gentlemanly swedish nature and taught them hatred and pain. Didnt he make Franzen have a mental breakdown just by screaming insults at him during the playoffs?

Let the new gm choose his coach.

JB has had his chances and is a proven failure .

time to move on and find someone who knows what they are doing and has a legitimate plan and direction.

Run this season out our team will get better with a high pick and even be more improved with new management.

No...  Julien is washed up.  He was a decent coach, but has health and other issues.

Look at the difference in results since he was replaced in Boston.

Nobody is replacing Green till off-season... Aquaman has written off the year.
