I would even go so far as to take Hughes off the first unit. I'm sure the second unit guys would love to get those beauty passes and might actually take a shot on net with an open one timer from 8 feet out. Just put all the ego maniacs on one line and try to score goals with the second unit, if we can get the first off the ice. I mean imagine Petey, Miller, and Bo/Boeser, just unleashing shots from Hughes every play with Myers in front. FUN!

We basically have the Sedin PP except we longer have the Sedins. I think we have had this type of PP for so long we forgot what a different PP would look like. Drop pass to enter the zone, pass,pass,pass,pass,pass lose the puck. Rinse and repeat.

To be fair, the team as a whole are underperforming.  Luckily it's a short season and our misery will be over when the weather starts to get really nice.  Still, I do feel hopeful about the future of the team  and believe they can do some decent retooling in the off season.  Oh, and the possiblity of a top 5 pick will pick up our spirits as well.

So instead of strengthening the top 6 Green continues to weaken it 

last game he took Miller out of the top 6 and we lost. Now he takes Hogs out of the top 6 and leaves Pearson in the top 6

 

the team can not put together 2 good lines because Green continues to play Pearson in the top 6

 

Now we are left with 1 potentially productive line 

 

Jets are going to have fun tonight 

 

but Green’s cult of keeps supporting him

Like it or not, that's what the team needs (one of these blue chip Ds).   If there ever was a time to have a done year - this is it.   We have a good young core - but it's not a contender without a Seabrook for our Keith or whatever you want to call it - an Ohlund - an Edler replacement ... or a 3 C that can eventually replace Horvat.

Don’t forget being outscored 23-9 last 4 games and losing 13 out of the last 15
