Disagree, goaltenders don't usually play both games of a back to back. Holtby hasn't been great, but if this team is to have any success he's going to have to play games.

Holtby isn't cheap @ 4.5 mill Canucks are still paying a fair amount for a goalie that is clearly not motivated/not able to elevate his game.

Maybe the plan from the get go was to split these back to back between demko and holtby, which is fine.

 

But Demko stood on his head and got a shutout last night, adjust the plan and run with the hot hand. Holtby can start the Toronto game on Thursday.
