What do you thing the odds are of the kraken taking holtby?

With Ian Clarke's help and the bet that Holtby would bounce back, pretty damn high. It's not a bad signing. His bad game tonight wasn't good, sure, but all goalies have had bad games - including Markstrom.

When the Leafs likely blow this team up, they will be 3-14 in their last 17.

3-12 officially in their last 15 is pathetic enough, and I don't see them pushing the Leafs' needle even a little.

we cant beat the jets, so the leafs will humilate the canucks just like last time. It doesnt matter anyways, since we wont make the playoffs. Heck I rather lose now to get a better draft pick and have Green and Benning fired. Not many games remaining so this season is a write off.

Right now Tor is top of division not surprised they don’t look toward that matchup

As usual, management gets the blame, but we've seen Coach Green's system over the years. This should not have been a surprise to anyone with the loss of Markstrom and Tanev. Green's system is the EXACT same as last year.

PLUG UP THE MIDDLE AND WAIT FOR THE OPPOSITION TO GIVE AWAY THE PUCK.

IF THEY DO, OFF THE GLASS AND OUT.

That's the problematic d-zone system boiled down.

They had 3 full days off

back to back is not an issue

Doesn’t change that Holtby was not signed as a backup.  He’s likely not used to not be playing as regularly.

Why did we sign Holtby at all? We knew Demko would be our guy and should play most of the games. If we didnt trust Demko then why let Markstrom walk? Benning should have just signed a decent backup for 1 million.

Demmer wasn’t really a sure thing. He played 3 great games in the bubble but when Marky got hurt before COVID ended things Demko wasn’t playing great at all and we were on our way out of a playoff spot.

Sounds like rolling the dice which shouldn't cost $4.5million. Holtby was trending down. Tonight wasn't really anomaly for him but the norm. He had a sun .9  save % coming into the game tonight.

He's been on the decline for a few years now, and Washington let him walk for a reason.

Then they signed the wrong guy

jb gambled on Demko, we let Marky walk because of bubble Demko

all we needed was a backup

The only thing management should be getting ripped for is not firing Green, which may cost JB his job

I think Roussel, Beagle, Myers, Gudbranson, Vey, Sutter, Eriksson, not trading for draft picks when "rebuilding", starting the "rebuild" years too late, losing upcoming free agents for nothing, not finding a winger for Horvat for years and having a trash defense every year will cost Benning his job, not the coach.

Hasn't changed since last year at all. That's on Baumer.

Green's problem is that he's unable to adapt,or motivate the team to play better. He's been benching/scratching the wrong players, but in reality, Green's been too much a kitten to scratch a veteran player, with exception to Eriksson.

And on Eriksson, WD and Green should be considered as smoking guns as to his decline. Both of these coaches have near identical stats, despite the major differences in the rosters.

Tough to fault the coaches here,  Demko is playing better than Holtby.  One guy needs to take the ball and run with it and my bet is that is Demko.
