The Canucks have been playing sound defence of late, even more so since Miller has been moved to centre. Pettersson played as a winger when he was drafted - perhaps that is what he really is. Either that or we have suddenly got great depth at centre when he returns.

I think he's more willing to shoot than Tanev. Whether that is good for team offense or not (as Tanev did make good passes) I don't know. But putting the puck on net can't hurt.

 

Originally everyone said the skating was probably worse than Tanev, but I don't know, Hamonic moves really well. Might move better than Tanev TBH.

 

He's actually really good about getting his shot through, it's refreshing 

 

He brings a different kind of toughness than Tanev did as well

True.   I am former Habs fan... and now a Canuck fan.    But i always will have some Hab love in my heart.  Great city, great franchise. / great hockey history.

Man handled Weber along the boards on one shift. Its nice to have a guy that's not afraid to get nasty.
