Such a valuable player for us. Our D is so much better with him. Yes we give up shots and have to cut down on chances but at least we are finally seeing some mobility and offence from the back end. Not a huge Benn fan but even he has shown improvement this year. As solid a top 6 right now as we've had in a long time. We would be at a better place standing wise if not for Pandemic/North Division repetition. Shortened season and slow start are killing us.

I confess.....at first, I was so critical of Myers but I eat my words.  He had a great night and I've seen how important he is to this team lately.   Has the occasional deer in headlights moments, but overall he's solid for us.  Benn too....lately they've really been assets not liabilities.

Yes.

However, as the refs start putting their whistles in their pockets and as the season progresses toward the playoffs, Myers figures out the line. 
 

It doesn’t mean he is less penalized. It means he gets nastier to play against before he gets a penalty.

Same here.

Defending in the NHL is so thankless. So much pressure. Last guy back all the time.

Holding the line.

Power play pressure.

Dealing with forechecks that are getting faster and more structured all the time.

Every mistake is glaring.

He's not perfect but even the best aren't.

When he came back in the bubble last year I really started to notice how valuable he was.

A real Pro as well.

Yeah, just watched the highlight and it was another team win backed by another solid performance by Demko.

Ya its called back to back games.  If Demko played that 2nd game and got injured, you would be all over Green for playing him, and you know it.  Then again, you're always all over Green so I guess it doesn't really matter.
