Expecting many lectures from the usual posters explaining how nope, this consistent type of performance, 4th game against Ottawa where they dominate us 5 on 5 is strictly ALL on the players. It's not on the coach to get his team ready. It's not on the coaches to gameplan effectively. It's not on the coaches to have systems both defensively and offensively that doesn't have the team getting dominated night in and night out. Getting massively outshot night in and night out. Outchanced night in and night out.

None of that is on our coaches and everything is on the players 100% of the time. The coaches might as well be responsible for absolutely nothing. They just exist to do nothing.

To repeat, this horrible Ottawa team for the 4th straight game this season has dominated the Canucks at 5 on 5 hockey. They have absolutely no issue getting out of their zone defensively, and have a heyday in our zone. All on the players. Which is why Ottawa is such a great te-. No. Actually, they're one of the absolute worst teams in the league having their way with us.

Uh, it seems you're the one delivering the lecture?

Do you ever celebrate a win?  I think you're doing it wrong.

It as an ugly win...but it doesn't matter in the end.  At all.  Points, that's what we're after...they don't give us extra or less for execution.

Not the bestest of performances but a win is a win and we stole one tonight. Hawryluk and Pearson score in the opening frame. Miller scores the game winner and what a time for it. Demko was huge and kept us in a position to win it. He needed to be good and he was once more. Hope we keep it going and build off these performances! GCG!

OK, what was worse? The Canucks effort through the first 2 periods, or the zebras tonight?

What was best was Demko. Then the Howryluk goal was really nice. Then the Pearson goal too was pretty good. Then the Miller goal was spectacular.

Great game really. Loved it.

This is not how they played last year.

Not sure which team you were watching. Yea their defensive game wasn’t great but this is a whole new level.

notsaying it wasn't  superb game today, but they've played pretty well in the last month, of course they're going to have a less than stellar game or two in there.  At least now they are getting points in some of those games they play poorly in.  That's what good teams do, get points when they play poorly...........they're gaining confidence and they know they have a goalie that can lean on.  I'm not going to complain about that
