Demko could be the Hasek of this Generation.

Roy, Luongo, Vasilevskiy, Hellebuyck are great goalies that are/were obviously keys to their team’s success, but we haven’t seen a goalie singlehandedly win games like this since Hasek. It’s still a small sample and comparing any goalie to Hasek is like comparing forwards to Gretzky but Demko is playing that good.

I don’t mind bringing some othe guys back if they are paid and play there more fitted roles

such as sutter as 4c and Pearson on the third

Signing him will be a priority for JB, right behind extending Pearson.

He's not wrong though, Demko will not and cannot start every game between now and the end of the season.

We'll need Holtby to play, we'll need him to play well, and we'll need to play well in front of him.

All those time off holtvy should be ready with all the extra practices

what makes you think that's what he's going to ask for?

He has had a stanley cup and had a pretty good year last year. He's making 4 million now. He will want the max he can get. I think he will want 4 million. Even 3.5 is a lot for multiple years. His play will likely decline here on out.

Gonna disagree man...Luongo when he came here was doing the same.

A win is a win,

We've lost games we should have won this year for sure and vice versa..

Take the 2 points and sharpen up next game.

Need to rest Demko soon, either Wednesday or Friday for sure.

1 point out of a playoff spot!... this very second

Good post, hockey is a game of inches. It's nice to see the lads steal some games. It will boost their confidence.

We can only hope

I'm not as down on Holtby as some others, but his game this year tends to mirror that of the team in front of him for better or worse

Demko steals another one

outplayed by a team that played yesterday

take the win but we have to play tighter

that looked like a game between 2 very bad teams. Atrocious giveaways by both teams

jake and hogs were solid, d was solid

Pearson finally woke up

Miller was playing his worst game of the year until he scored

"I ran out of time"

I like to picture Benning explaining that like he’s explaining to a teacher why he didn’t do his homework

I don’t know in what business “I ran out of time” is a legit excuse.

I like that the canucks have won 5 of 6 games but everyone has to remember where we are in the standings. They are still pretty far back. So many teams have games in hand and we are still behind in points after all these wins. I really think they need to try to make trades before the deadline to get assets back. If they win enough to get back into the playoffs then that's great but we all have to be realistic that the playoffs are still a longshot.

He will bounce back hopefully and krakens can take him off our hands
