This is one of the most balanced commentating teams we've had for some time

Not crazy 'bout Galley. Sounds like Greg Millen's voice, too.

& with both guys, you'd think they were first ballot HHOF-Gawds the way they say every play should've been done.

Also, Demmer have up a lot more rebounds in the 2nd than he did in the 1st

Shots at end of 1st period

9 OTT  7 VAN

Shots 9 min into 2nd period 11:00

20 OTT  11 VAN

OTT had 2 more shots in 11:00 to end the period with 22. VAN 20.

Oh, the highlight reel of takes from that trade...

I don't know about Twitter - but the trade thread in this forum was epic.

the #stockpilethepicksliketheproperLeafs thing was unhinged at the time.  so much fury that Motte was not a 3rd or 4th round pick...

as an aside - re: the Leafs - ironically all those stockpilez have resulted in literally nothing...

Dermott and Engvall - the only two picks on their roster taken outside the top 10 (taken in 2014/15) - were both Leafs own draft picks.

But say, hypothetically, they were acquired via 'stockpiling'.....Imagine how bad the Leafs would be without Dermott and Engvall.

#proper-rebuild.  but, but....#lottery-champions = the Shana"plan"

Gretzký him self said Canucks thought he was using their offer as leverage to get better deal elsewhere..

That's Elliots reporting on it.. it's a slightly different variation and I remember when we almost got Gretz

The reason for that late night call was Canucks led by Quinn thought Gretzky was using their offer and had  no intention to sign here.. he advised his ownership at which point Quinn was told to not let that happen. He called with a take it or leave it in middle of night..

That's why the late night call happened.. and Quinn was never fully onboard to sign Gretz but owners wanted a big name..

Canucks ended up with Messier after that..

I remember it differently, but we can agree to disagree.
