How can Lee be done for the season and their team still be listed as having zero cap space available?

My knowledge is kind of sketchy on the subject but I *think* it has to do with the only way you can put somebody on LITR is if you're already at the cap max. so putting such a guy really doesn't create additional cap space.  It just lets you go over the cap by that amount (the injured player) but you're still at the cap max.  Hope I'm explaining this clearly as lol, I'm half asleep as I type this.

Trade for Hall with retention? 1st, 2nd, decent prospect?

respectfully he wasn't worth it before this year, on which he's on a 4 goal pace. Hall has the stink of defeat on him and isn't a difference maker when it matters, imo. Wouldn't want to pay that much for him when he was better.

I'd be thrilled if we could get a 2nd for Pearson tho, 1/2 retained. That would let NYI go out and get more depth d or another F.

I just think he'd thrive on a good team like NYI. He's still nearly a ppg player, just not this season with Buffalo, which I kind of expected before the season started. So if his value is deflated from this year, he might be one of the better deals to acquire, if you're looking for a direct top line replacement.

Plus, if they get him with enough retained, they could still go out and get another roster player for another area.
