Difficult to get rid of, but yes, I think we'd all like to see them try to get rid of these guys, even if we have to retain some salary.

Benn, Sutter and Pearson could net us some mid picks/decent prospects. Maybe a 2nd for Pearson but the injury could change that. Hamonic too if he's not getting re-signed.

Could use the assets we get to trade a Roussel in the off-season. That 3M in cap might be needed with the way Demko is playing. If we have cap left over we could use it to sign a good 3rd C that can play with our youngsters or even take advantage of a team losing a good player in the expansion similar but not the same to the Schmidt deal.

Need at least a pt. Keep the point streak going. Habs seems to have nux numbers. But habs can still implode vs other teams in the coming weeks.

Manages your loses. Keep getting points.

Perhaps they can turn their attention to the Jets, Oilers, as we have a bunch of games against them still. Plus 4 games vs the Sens

We are behind in this game because we are not shooting and getting pucks on net. Price hasn't been stellar.... shooot!

Hard to shoot from our end though.

They spent the latter part of that period trapped there.

Sounds great.  I guess the moral in this is to not get too many players signed for longer than 2 years.  Save the long-term deals for the core players, which doesn't include any of the players you've listed.  The Holtby signing is looking like the same kind of error as the signings of Roussel/Beagle/Sutter.  But at least it's only 2 years.

Yep, yep, yep, spot on.

Jim Benning's conveyor belt of excuses might be the most impressive thing on his resume.  And he's got a damn good scouting record.

Truly a talent to be able to spin things all the time and trick the poor souls in this fanbase.

Our forwards collapse way too deep in the defensive zone. Not only does this leave the points wide open it hinders puck retrieval and and breakouts.

Seems simple, doesn’t it? Why this isn’t being remedied on the ice is the question.
