Disagree.  No cap on how much you can spend on scouting.  Increase in scouting in one area doesn’t mean it comes at the expense of another area.

There is a theory in that because they are in our backyard, we get to scout them more and thus leading to overexposure to player's mistakes or bad habits compare to just see8ng them 3 or 4 times a season.

hmmm....you might be right.  Still it makes it so frustrating.

Still, I wouldn't mind seeing Benning throw some of the team's financial muscle (Aquilini for whatever faults he might have, is always willing to spend money on the team) in maybe poaching some of the other NHL team's scouts.

Green really knows how to reward his players!

Oh wait Michaelis hasn’t done anything to earn that spot.

and Benn Myers still? Green is lost in space. Not playing Juolevi is a poor plan.

Ouch, and Shea is a local player. That was a really bad drafting.

There are a couple of “local” Sheas that would have been great Canucks.

PRACTICE | Antoine Roussel

"Well....like I always say:  when there's a will, there's a chance".   Didn't quite nail it but perfect in any case.  Love Rooster.   I know many here don't but he's all heart, even if it goes sideways at times.

Also...he's not wrong:

500K projected cap space according to capfriendly

Cheers.  Would have to move money out then.  Do they have any expiring contracts they need to move?

Who would he even dislodge in their top-9?

If I were GM the team would have drafted Ehlers (at the time).

I think I was leaning towards Nylander cuz his father played in the NHL.  So figured he got some good genes.

If JespK can't handle playoff hockey, and they want a different look than Armia, TP would slot in nicely beside TT/Anderson or BG

The cap hits aren’t the problem for Markstrom and Tanev, the term is.

Markstrom because there was Demko to take over but why Tanev.  Him and Myers are only born 1.5 months apart and their contracts end at the same time.

Pearson is not a center so how would he replace Kotkaniemi.  They’ve added Staal anyways and also have Perry who can give them a different look.   Feels like an unnecessary shuffling of their lines for someone who has not made much of an impact this season.

I believe they also factored in history of injuries and how that could take a toll over time?

Of course, now that he's not here he'll probably stay healthy cause....Canucks.

Pearson isn't a C?  News to me

Just an idea if they can find another depth C option.  TP with either JA/TT or BG on RW seems like a good fit.
