And the refs showing an obligation to each other over their obligation to the fidelity of the game. And no accountability for bad and wrong calls. I agree take one off and put him in the booth to watch for obvious errors and missed calls. Esp dives and embellishments. 

More than 2x because they have to out-do each other.

Instead of firing them perhaps have a term limit on how long a Zebra can stay to prevent any past events between a player/team to linger - perhaps ten years ?

Podz is an awkward skater. But he has drive, skill and strength which would make him formidable on a line with Horvat.

I stand by my suggestion of a blacklist.  Let teams veto refs they don't trust to work their games honestly.
