Everyone says call a timeout.. but I don’t see other teams doing that either

Also not a lot of point in calling a timeout when anything our coaches say makes the situation worse.  You want to minimize the damage our assistants do.

Experts called for Toronto to run away with the division this season as well as being a contender the last 3.

The Oilers have been pegged as a breakout team the last 3.

If the Leafs win the Cup we will inherit being the laughing stock of Canada.

Which is just tissue paper softness. I wonder how intense the battle drills are along the wall in practice? If guys don't get up wanting to punch out (their teammate) by the end of it, it's not intense enough.

Practice *should* be game intensity+. Train the way you want to play. It's not feasible all the time with travel and so on, and while I'm blissfully unaware of their actual practice regime, when I see the odd Canucks Twitter shot of their practices, it's absolutely disgusting how casual it is. It's okay to be a little Casual if you are winning, by a lot, consistently. Even then I'd caution it. But this team lays eggs on a more regular basis than a free range hen... so they should be grinding that out to get better.

And then rest & recover "hard" when practice is done. And then have a ****ing beer in the room (or juice etc, if somebody is being 'sober'!). Because it's hockey and it should still be fun. Practice hard, play hard.

100 percent. I think Green is to passive with this group. In all aspects of the game. So done with him.

I hate to say it, but "that's a good team over there" is lame af. Every team, minus Buffalo, in NHL is good. Even the lowly Ottawa Senators is good.

It’s the dumbest thing around here. It’s honestly just a cliche or qwirk of Greens. So dumb to nit pick that
