Western Red
Interesting, thought Volkov might be a decent piece, screams Expansion, maybe Murray is aware of that,
on the cycle
Alexander Volkov is a badass fighter but have no idea who this Volkov is.
Dazzle
This is actually some brilliant GMing. They get to unload a player and get a pick. The pick is only a 7th rounder and it's for 2023. They're unloading a former 2nd rounder. Edited March 25, 2021 by Dazzle
Phil_314
Darn, so much for wanting him here in Vancouver.

But it is funny that they couldn’t have squeezed out more from someone. Maybe Volkov was becoming a problem in the room, with a guy like Colton getting into games ahead of him? Cutting down the options so that Seattle are more likely to select a big contract guy such as Palat, Gourde, etc. TBL also likely throw in a sweetener to make it happen because it is so critical to their cap situation next season. JeremyCuddles
2023 7th round pick? They really nickle and dimed this deal huh? "Nah, 2021 7th rounder will gut out draft. Make it 2023."
