He could have gone on LTIR with no issue... any doctor would sign off on it as his body was just worn out from a long career and breaking down from lots of injuries.

 

He decided not to, just to save a few cap bucks for the Panthers gene though it would cost us millions.

Glad you went there cause I was also very critical of Luongos' decision to retire instead of going in the LTIR; does this decision tarnish his legacy as a Canuck - ? - (imo, this decision of his should be considered and his time in the ROH should be put on hold for a looooong time).  Personally, he seems to be more loyal to the Panthers/Florida and this decision proves it.
