You know its possible to critically think and call these people out on their bull without being a Trump supporter. Bankruptcy Bonnie is just a figure head on tv and doesn't give a rats about any of us but keep drinking the delusional kook aid I'm as far on the opposite end of the Canucks management debate spectrum as @AbrasiveAjax and I'm agreeing with him. Aside from the fact that the guy 'reporting' on Dr. Henry sounds like he inhaled a bit too much helium, this guy clearly has an agenda with all his youtube videos being focused on on anti-bonnie henry./covid lockdown coverage. Even that youtube video showed her just sitting with a coffee by her side (you can take your mask off to drink) and then splices in pictures and videos without any context. The 'news source' is a divisive hack. In any case, I'm fine with us cancelling the rest of our games if it turns out to be worse than we thought (Dhaliwal saying possibly 19+ players and staff). Our player's and staff health should come first and it sounds pretty serious. If we need to play games then maybe call up the AHL squad. With no audiences, no shows, I am struggling. But I just don't see the benefit of using up energy blaming "Bonnie Horgan". When its the virus that's the real enemy. Could they have done more? Been stricter? Sure. But its a moving target, a new virus that we still don't know completely yet. Unpredictable variants etc. They had to maintain a certain balance. The NHL declined to use Vancouver as one of the host bubble cities. Why? Because BC had too strict of rules for them. Alberta here we come! Personally, and in hindsight, I'd rather they went even harder, early, too. I'm with you. But early on we were doing okay with levels plateauing . While fools like Mark Donnelly led rallies to whine about it. And we are not on an island like New Zealand, we are bordered by a conservative nut next Province that has gambled away a lot of public workers pensions on the tar sands and the keystone pipelilne, as my Alberta friends are dealing with. And we were bordered on the south (and north) by a country run by......Trump... enough said. And the State below us was hit very hard. I just find it a little unfair, and pointless to be putting all the blame on our Premier and Health officer. I know you can't be serious to make the same equivalency that seniors, locked up in a care home, could be blamed for spreading the virus as much as young people, like the huge group we saw partying on 3rd beach last Summer. I was a kid once. I don't know your age but I can admit that I had a much more selfish, and cavalier attitude then. And their age group is the one where cases are climbing. I for one appreciate Horgan calling them out. If that helps wake more of them up, and slow down the spread, in order to get rid of this scourge sooner, so we both can get back to creating art again. I'm getting tired of the "mental health" argument. It's awful, no doubt......my 21 year old daughter lives alone in PoCo and is struggling badly. Did people think a pandemic was going to be rainbows and unicorns? It was always going to be as much of a mental health, economic issue as a viral one, but there's no alternative.......were not going to let the virus run wild because people are suffering the secondary effects of a pandemic.

I mean, you did call a lot of points I agreed with beating a dead horse hehe. And of course, I responded burying our heads in the sand We probably aren't far apart on the strategy of management, just the execution. And of course, I know we agree we wanna see Bo lift the cup! At the end of the day though, Hockey is but one component of our lives. Health is the most important thing at the end of the day, as we can probably all agree in this thread. This is probably what you saw on FB Honestly though, if we want to apply critical thinking here, for a guy who can't stand trump as well, you should know one of the reasons he became so big was because people fell for fake news and outrage tweets that went viral without any authentication. As others said in this thread, just because something is viral does not mean it is real. Algorithims and news feeds are an easy way to make people fall for confirmation bias.

Only reason why he won a Presidential election was that the Democrats ran a horrible candidate against him & the electoral college. In a two horse race, you always have a chance (and I don't mean Jim Carey chance especially if the other candidate is pretty bad). Once he faced a guy who's biggest issue was that he was as old as Methuselah, he predictably lost by a good margin. 1

appleboy
Shut the year down. Focus on their health. Lets hope no one gets really sick. Some of the side effects from this disease are things like heart issues. Maybe it should be a wake up call to all of us. Lets all tighten up the way we live. Hopefully our useless Liberal government will find a way to speed up the vaccines. PS,, all governments are useless!!!!! 1

hammertime
So if reports are true and +/- 19 players and staff are in covid protocol. If the Canucks season gets shut down would the canucks draft top 5?
