Devron44 6,617
Wow it feels like Zajac has been in the league for 20 years
Junkyard Dog 10,216
Zajac is still a pretty solid 2-way C that can play significant minutes and Palmeri is a top 9 winger on a playoff team. Good trade for the Islanders.
Warhippy 31,371
Isles going in during a covid year where the Bolts are the only real competition Can't blame em for trying! Great trade
Devron44 6,617
The first rounder seems like the only thing of significance for the Devils. Really good trade for the islanders
Teemu Selänne 1,758
Been watching some Isles this year, and they've looked really, really good for stretches- adding these two to the top-9 should make them more consistent in that regard. Will be a challenge for them in the first round regardless - playing either Pitts with Malkin back or Boston..
Popular Post IBatch 12,067
Does this mean Pearson and Sutter are worth a first round pick together? Lol. One could dream. 1 9 5

I can't remember when a new coach has come in and made such an impact on goals against like Trotz did when he arrived, it hurt some players stats (Barzal in particular but that also had to do with losing Tavares and taking on the best of the best night in night out too), but wow it was eye popping stuff. Trotz is a worthy HHOF coach when he retires.
Sean Monahan 5,913
Seems like a big ol W for the Isles as it currently stands.

It's mind numbing that they let him walk after winning the Cup with him. 2 2

Drakrami 1,030
That's a solid price for 2 veterans... Islanders making a bold cup run this year.

Phil_314 2,759
Really good addition, and to bring in two pieces that fit well with their disciplined system and replace the injured Lee for a 1st and a couple of projects is pretty good. Most of their young kids are already contributing too and should be able to afford to give up a small future asset (likely a late 1st) to make a run this year, as they have. Wonder what Hall and other pending UFA's will go for, now that this trade has been done.
flickyoursedin 2,449
I’d say pretty comparable players to Pearson and Sutter.
Coconuts 13,198
Isles needed to add and went out and did so, I'd give them the edge on this deal. Wouldn't mind if they were the eastern conference team that made it to the final, better them than Toronto. It's not as if the Isles have won recently either.
