[Signing] Canucks re-sign Tanner Pearson

Recommended Posts

Lets just remember to keep things in perspective....

He's only 28-29.... so these are still his prime years the Canucks will be getting.  $3.25 million is pretty fair.... I mean Baertschi is getting $3.6 million I think.

That being said, I would have rather GMJB trade him for more assets going forward.

Becomes significant when you have numerous similar contracts I guess lol

I  actually agree with this sentiment - even if it was a joke (?)

This contract isn't terrible - our overall cap distribution structure is the issue but I think it can be cleaned up over the next year to 2 years - and really hope it is!

This is asinine, don’t sign Tofolli for 4 but sign Pearson (who only has 11 points this year and is going to only get worse) for 3.25, Hughes and Petey need to be signed and you’re signing Pearson?????? Benning needs to go now before he does anymore damage, we are officially now the oilers before mcdavid

I like it. Good second line winger who helps bring stability to a young team.

In what way has he been a "good second line winger" for this team?

His production has nosedived massively over the last calendar year.

No joke.

If he can stay around the 20+20 mark it won’t be as bad.

I bet you guys are gonna complain about Pettersson’s and Hughes’ contracts regardless of what they are lol.

The contract is .5M, 1 year and a NTC to much for my liking. I dunno what is it is with Benning and handing out NTC’s to depth player. The guy can’t learn from his mistakes.

It seems to be the case.

For those who don’t care to look and would rather just be outraged... he’s a career .46 pts/game. If that’s not worth 3.25 at 28 years old I don’t know what is.

The myth of forwards peaking around 30 needs to &^@# off.

Statistically speaking, forwards peak in their early to mid 20s.

Next up for the idiot GM resign sutter hamonic and edler

make sure he’s almost capped out so it’s a struggle to get ep and Hughes done .

A presser filled with stupid quotes and  more weak excuses

then lose a good young player to the kraken because his lack of foresight

Then  more excuses.

I wish owners would just fire this refool.

If only the myth about defensemen and power forwards developing longer will also go away, lol.
