Turris absolutely does not replace Sutter, his game has been falling off for years. Sutter actually plays a valuable role for a team with playoff aspirations.

But but but don’t you know the cool thing to do to fit in on Canucks forums is to pick a player and rag on him constantly without even watching his game and realizing he’s actually a pretty solid player.

Legit!

He's underappreciated because of his cap hit, that and there always needs to be a whipping or two.

Too much was made about the "foundational" player comment from J.B.

That alone was enough for some people to begin piling on the guy.

More people would understand his value, if it wern't for the injuries.

Yeah, he's really had a tough go of it with injuries. He'd been really durable for Carolina and Pittsburgh prior to joining us.

It's weird to think that he's spent most of his career as a Canuck.

Edmonton hasn't done anything yet. May be able to swindle them out of their first or second tomorrow if any our guys even have any value after covid.

Pearson was made for this trade, too bad Benning went full DimJim.

Virtanen has term left...:bigblush:

LE...one year ...

AR one year

Beagle one year...

Lots to choose from!   And of course Pearson.   Watch us trade Pearson and then watch carefully at who complained the loudest and see if they also complain about losing him too lol.

For JB to do what they are asking, Pearson needed TERM on his deal.  Holland said he would consider trading his first IF they found the right player with term on his contract.   So DimJim had to sign him if this was ever a possibility but your complaining about him doing exactly that lol.   And just to be realistic - there is zero chance Holland and JB will make a deal that could affect either of their teams future that is that big.    Maybe if one of the teams was in full rebuild mode, but not when these teams are destined to be fighting for a playoff spot with each other over the next 5-7 years.

When Sutter plays he's been a very solid C for us.    Strength down the middle wins cups.   It is too bad he went from a guy who didn't miss games to the third line version of Salo so quickly.    Team wins more when he's in the lineup.    Was hoping we'd trade Pearson and re-sign Sutter to eventually take over Beagles job.     Could still happen but he'd have to take a discount.    2 - 2.25 x 3 or something.

I would offer

To Edm Schmidt, Motte & Pearson

To Van Larsson, Turris & 1st rd 2020

This gives us a look at Larsson for the rest of the season and maybe get him signed. Turris would replace Sutter.

Turris recently just went on waivers

Yeah, he'd be particularly valuable isn't able to return

But yeah, the Salo reference is on point
