I pick him up, and hope Montreal needs a defenseman because you took one of theirs. If there was ever a time to try a lineup rotation, it’s now. I would have liked to have seen a rotation used to start this season, given the terrible schedule we had, and how the team was struggling. Now, we’re looking at returning to an even worse schedule. It just makes so much sense to be resting players and rotating others through the lineup, to mitigate fatigue, and not subject post-Covid players to unnecessary physical and mental demands, given the physiological toll of the virus. Using a player rotation would very likely produce better W/L results, and also better longterm health results for the players recovering from the virus. EDIT: And, a rotation would also allow for young players, and any new additions (either via waivers or trades), to get some games played, which provides valuable information toward building next year’s roster, potential re-signings, and pinpointing where additions are needed, and where current roster and system depth is sufficient. But one thing to keep in mind caunucks are at 48/50 contracts and I assume one of the is for podz it would essentially mean that is the only claim we will make until and we need to make sure we have enough bodies ready by Friday.
