[3-Way Trade] Maple Leafs acquire Nick Folingo, Stefan Noesen; Blue Jackets acquire 2021 1st-round pick (TOR), 2022 4th-round pick (TOR); Sharks acquire 2021 4th-round pick (TOR)

solid deal for toronto. First isn't an overpayment. They only have this season and the next 3 until their window closes, Matthews and nylander gone then. All of which are going to be flat cap. They should trade all their picks and farm prospects for the next 3 years.

Is the anti-Benning spin going to be about the 4th round pick?

Because burning a 1st and 3rd for Foligno feels like something JB would get roasted for.

A 1st and a 4th is the price to get him at a quarter or so of his cap hit. Its pricy for sure but the bump up to a 1st is for cap savings more than Foligno himself.

Without the cap savings, Benning would get roasted for such a trade and rightfully so.

Laffs should have added Savard instead...but hey guess they think they can just outscore opposition teams and this fluke stretch G Campbell is playing is going to hold strong for them all the way into the playoffs too... I will never cheer for the Laffs even in a cup final against an American team. Fcuck the Laffs!!

Hope Foligno gets injured shortly after suiting up for them!

Leafs address their AHL quality blueline by bringing in another forward.  He's a good player, but he won't be able to save the Leafs from getting destroyed in the first round yet again.

They have produced a lot better results than us defensively.

We give up the most shots per game in the entire league and they give up the 9th least amount of shots per game.

We give up the 5th most goals per game while they give up the 8th least amount of goals per game.

So they are the top 9 best in those regards while we are the top 5 worst.

Replace Baumgartner with a real coach and see how we do.  Rielly has a long history of costing his team in the playoffs with his inability to play acceptable defense.  Add in a lazy, gutless coward who's scared of the puck and they have no chance of winning when it matters.

In this division they probably do. The only team that has a better defence/plays better team D is the Habs but the Habs don’t have an offence.

Canadiens or Jets both destroy them.

They are 8-3 vs them and have only given up 2.54 goals against vs them and have 3.18 goals for per game vs them.

I doubt either team would destroy them. It probably would end up being a tight series.

So 2nd and 2x5th's for Sutter, if we retain less?  Fine, Edmonton, he's yours.

All day every day lol. But the Oilers dont have a 2021 2nd at this time.

Sutter is not going to be traded bud. He is probably going to be re-signed. I expect 3 years, north of 3 million per, a ntc, and expansion protection guaranteed.

I hope I am wrong.
