Not a great return but once again a huge overreaction here for swapping of two marginal players. In a couple years this will all be forgotten

Deep breaths kiddos Sheltered sure but he has potential. The guy he was traded for we picked up two guys on waivers better than Highmore in Vesey and Boyd. Then we got tons of guys like Bailey, Gravoac and Michaelis whom are all probably higher on the depth chart than Highmore for a bottom 6 role. Just don’t understand why you’d move Gaudette for somebody older and more fringe when we have so many bodies already fighting for a 4th line spot. Should have been for a pick, younger prospect or not moved at all.

He had a lot of offensive chances, more than Jake, that's for sure. Hopefully he doesn't bury those with CHI. This. Gaudette had a 45-point prorated season last year and has been super unlucky with his chance conversion this season, but still hasn’t lost his knack for being in the right place at the right time. I’m sure Chicago will tap into that. How people say Highmore’s worth Gaudette as of April 12, 2021 is bewildering.

FlyLow_
No he wasn't a fit, but he can chip in here and there and still has potential. Something we did not get back in this trade. At the very least it should have been defensive depth coming back in return. Just awful. Edited April 12, 2021 by FlyLow_
Nucker 67
If Highmore turns out similar to Motte, then good trade 1

If you think Lind has more potential to become a serviceable NHL'r, seems prudent to use a protection spot on him Between his non-existent defensive game and ED exposure... As much as it's a marginal loss in value... Yup still meh... Lol

combover
Reminds me of when Benning threw away McCann. I’m sure Highmore minus 20 and 2 points in the AHL were the selling point for the leagues worst GM.

buddhahoodlum
Well at least Benning didn't throw in a pick as a sweetener. There's always that.

Smashian Kassian
If it isn't related to the COVID spread then idk. Seems like a bad trade or atleast poor asset management. Hopefully Highmore is a good player & proves me wrong.
Nucker 67
Looking at those Highmore highlites, holy crap, we gotta good one! lol Okay, trying to be positive, but he doesn't look bad? Seems to have a nose for the net anyway.
