What's worse is I'm talking regular scooters with 49cc engines. (Like Vespas)

The e-scooters and e-bikes are becoming dangerous too.

Although I wouldn't ride my e bike in heavy traffic, I do really enjoy riding it on the various trails and low traffic roads in my area.  Unfortunately, the lack of common sense and attention to the rules of the road, is giving these electric vehicles a bad name.  But then again, the same can be said for many car, motorcycle or truck drivers as well.

That is not the same as re-signing a player you had previously traded a significant haul for and had exclusive rights to negotiate with as a UFA though. To offer sheet you give up picks.

It's called a 'Rental'. Teams do it every year. And we didn't give up 'a significant haul', the 2nd is an alright asset but they only have 17.2% chance of.making it to the NHL and as a late 2nd it drops to closer to 14.5%, less than 1 in 7. And Tyler Madden is grossly overrated on these boards. He did well in college but guess what, Gaudette and Vesey were both voted as the best players in college during their careers there and neither really panned out at all. Add to that that Madden put up 1 goal and 4 points in 12 AHL games *yawn* and is currently rotting away on LA's taxi squad. Can't even make the roster on the 7th worse team in the league, worse than the Canucks, and has been passed over by legit prospects who have played better in the AHL and been called up and put on the roster like Byfield, Kupari and Kaliyev. So please tell me how significant an asset Madden is again...

WINNING teams who need one or two upgrades to their roster to make a playoff run do it every year, not bottom feeders.

If Benning is now saying it will be 2 years before the team is playoff competitive, why was he renting a player last year?

Hope they put Kole in a good position to succeed tonight. Hope its beside Pearson and Bo or with Miller and Boes.

His vision and puck skills suit an offensive line, but he has the feistiness to succeed in irritating the opposition.

He will be replacing Hawryluk on a line with Highmore and Sutter most likely.

Good luck to Kole. I watched him a lot with the Rockets and seemed like a smart player who needed to engage in the game a little more for my liking. Seems he has come a long ways in the AHL so I'm hoping his game has matured. Always a treat to watch a young player fulfill his NHL dream and I whish him success.

Being 1 win away from the WCF seems like just maybe we were competitive last year.

Yay for Kole Lind's first game.

Boo if OJ comes out.

I must be the only one to not find anything special about Chatfield.

I don't think there's anything specifically special about him. He doesn't stand out in any real area, he just seems to be fairly consistent and doesn't stand out for the wrong reasons. Plays a nice safe, defensive game and generally makes smart plays.

Really? I find Chatfield the complete opposite of what you just said. I will watch him closley tonight, maybe I'm out to lunch on this one.

Lol no they werent bud. They only got in because of a play in. Then played well against St Louis who did not play well at all. Then got dominated by Vegas and only held on due to other world goaltending by Demko. Thats not truly playoff competitive.

It's so easy to skew things to suit a narrative. Here, let's do the reverse:

Weber, Drouin, Danault, Byron, Lehkonen, Edmondson, Staal, Chariot, Kulak and Gustafsson

26 G

$34.2 M

Boeser and Pettersson

27 G

$6.8 M

And Pettersson has missed half the season...

Pretty hilarious, i was thinking of doing the same.   Also you forgot Price and could have added Demko.     This same exercise could be easily done to 3/4 of the teams in the NHL.

Ask any person associated with any competitive sport they will all say the same thing, no one cares how you get the win, the only thing that matters is that you get the win.

That doesnt mean you are actually competitive though.

And that is actually not how sports teams operate at all. They dont generally just hope they get lucky. They try to build sustainable conpetitiveness. Well, most do anyway.
