Something like 75% of 2nd round picks aren't able to have a NHL career.  It's hardly going out on a limb claiming any given player won't make it.  But yeah, wait at least a good number of games before drawing any conclusions.

I know these types don’t grow on trees but, for me, this is the keystone in any serious build. QH excites me in so many ways and I love him on my team but he’s not driving the bus to any ultimate playoff success. Without  the requisite support it’s too easy to target that (don’t Burke me!) little body.

This format - Canadian division - shoulda/woulda/coulda resulted in an interesting/exciting season...

 

But nevermind the Canucks - the hockey right accross the board - has been awful.

 

Worst hockey I've ever watched.

 

I usually watch all the teams I can - but it's been hard to sit through many games that aren't a Canuck game - every team has been wildly inconsistent - and the hockey- the energy - the execution - has been boring / hard to watch.

 

Maybe the playoffs will be better - but this season has been a whole lot of going through the motions.

I definitely liked what I saw from Lind.  Not sure what people who didn't like him were watching?  He has more talent than the Hawryluk and Highmore type guys and I thought he was visible and pretty physical.  All in all a pretty good debut for him.

He is also a quality kid by all reports.

Some guys get to the NHL and then work their buts off to improve every year . They do what they have to to stay.  Players like Bo. Bo was not the most talented and was not the best skater. 

Bo has improved in so many ways. Lind sounds like he has the right attitude. 

 

Gad is another player who has that kind of attitude. However his skating may never be good enough.
