The league's clear bias with certain teams was on full display last night. Simmonds not getting an instigator and game misconduct for his mugging of Edler and Liljgern's hit on Motte were proof. If Hamonic had attacked Marner like that degenerate Simmonds did Edler, he'd have been booted from the game.

This league is such an inconsistent joke and is run by scumbags.

You spelled organized crime wrong, dude.

5 on five scoring chances against …

During Green’s tenure we have been consistently ranked 31st in the league

let that sink in

In the midst of a rebuild for the bulk of that, let that sink in.

my stats show the canucks rank 26th for gf% and 30th for xgf% averaged between 2014-2021.

what was it 4 years ago we finished 3rd to last last year we overperformed in the weakest division in the weakest conference. then somehow think we were going to improve when you put better teams like winnepeg toronto edmonton and montreal and 2 lesser team in calgary and ottawa and mash them all together.

i'd, say the canucks are shooting par for the course this year

Ok so to translate …. We are consistently as bad as we have been since 2014

and that is somehow a good thing?

Personally, I found that Sh1t kicking of "Special Ed" hard to watch, as it once again demonstrated this teams underlying lack of Grit and pushback and the lingering "Swedish effect" that has hampered this team for over two decades.  Until every player on this team gets some grit and fight instilled in them - WE WILL NEVER BE RESPECTED & TOUGH ENOUGH TO WIN A CUP.

Going back two decades we've been overly influenced by Swedish meekness.  More recently, the Sedins brainwashed all the feistiness out of Horvat - that he once had in the Juniors, as as tougher Canadian player with EP40 right behind him, destined to continue the legacy of Soft, Swedish Finesse style playing on our country club team, which might garner some Oos & Awes in the regular season but will ultimately get crushed in the playoffs.

Watching Edler cow last night brought back memories of the 2011 Stanley cup where the Sedins got punched right in the face numerous times and did nothing.  I'll never forget that most embarrassing moment.  What a disgrace as a Canucks fan that was and I felt no different last night watching a big guy like him get pounded like a woosey !

Hey Don Cherry jr. Your point could have been made without the anti Swedish bullish!t. There are Swedes in the NHL who will drop them mittens when necessary.

And no the Sedins didn’t brainwash anyone.

It’s embarrassing that you can’t make your point in a more respectful manner.

I noticed the puck following Lind anywhere he was on the ice maybe @Arrow 1983should watch the game with his head out of his rear for a change.

He basically played like Loui Eriksson the whole game. Hashmarks to hashmarks, very little over commitment.

Biggest critique: average or even below average foot speed, and a lot of coasting back up ice.

Aaaaand here come the excuses from the resident cdc excuse master

Newsflash, any team with good coaching can play well defensively. Tippett in Arizona comes to mind

but keep rationalizing failure if it makes you feel better

Honest evaluations will not make you popular on here. I would add that Lind could use some more edgework, needs to tighten up his turns. I give him kudos for smarts and positioning though. In the end he looks to project into an NHLer, but lets all be honest. He's not there yet.

No question he’s a work in progress but he did not look overwhelmed or out of place in his first NHL game. I think we’ll need to see many more games to know what we have. Most impressive was the fact that on a bad night he was one of the better players.

Irrelevant to the GDT but Virtanen is being accused of rape. He has since suspended his social media accounts. Pretty &^@#ed up if these are true. I’m going to hold off on the comments until this is exposed. Not looking good for Jake.

Source?
