Jake needs to get away from the adoration of his local posse & find the attributes it will take to become the kind of player who puts team commitments & professionalism before self indulgence & finding  even more impulsive ways to spend his time & money. 
 

And, keeping all of the brain cells that he possesses should be a daily concern. For most, genuine sacrifice comes before the rewards. Facing the proper consequences for his actions while a Canuck, is necessary - if not overdue.

This has been the worst year. Somehow we are much worse than last year...not sure how that's possible. So far:

-sign the wrong guys

-young guys fail to make progress

-bad injury luck

-disease rips through whole team

-give up on a prospect

-scandal off the ice

-park big salary cap dollars in the taxi

-keep the crappy assistant coaches and send the good one to Toronto

-trade down in the draft for a waiver pickup
