This team needs an owner that doesn't think he's a GM, and a GM that is less awful at his job.  How many more lottery picks before this team is the new Sabres/Oilers?

Agree with the bolded.. but the sentence is a little conflicting.

If the owner thinks he's a GM, the GM hasn't been able to do his job properly.

And the second sentence... we've never gotten a lottery pick. The only time we even had a top 3 odds were like 2016 and 2017.

We are far from Sabres and Oilers. Those guys failed for over a decade. The last time we made the playoffs was... wait, I think we have to go back a while... oh right, last season.

Yeah, I think that's reasonable. I like keeping Highmore next year as a high-effort, bargain bin 4th liner.

Keep Jayce and Highmore for sure.  Mack, Gadj, Lind, could give us good energy in bottom 6 next yr.

Just stay the course (OP).   The only thing id do is give Rathbone a solid tryout.   IF and this is a huge IF, he could do 75% of what QHs can do, and 100% of what Stecher could do, i'd consider cutting bait with a major trade.   If not, which i'm suspecting is probably the case, just maintain the status quo, keep our players safe and away from injuries that could affect them next year and prepare for the draft and next season in our wimpy half of our own division.   That's about it.  Lind is getting his turn, Gads is getting his soon too.   Complain a lot about whatever.  JB is a curse and all that TG a pee wee coach.  Am I doing this right?

What course? This is a sinking ship, we are not getting better, we’re getting worse. Sadly I think next year is just going to be a continuation of this year, you know the definition of insanity right.

If they traded their 1st and 2nd round picks away to make the playoffs for one year they might have too.

Never enough cause we can't win the lottery unlike those two with a rabbit's foot up their behind.
