Rathbone's skillset is NHL quality. He's got that high level escape-ability, & has the IQ to move the puck quickly.

 

Still looks a little bit tentative defensively at times, which is to be expected given he's just starting out. And he doesn't even have much pro experience at any level so its a great jump for him.

Yeah i don't get the folks complaining about this win.   Just think of what losing out for the rest of the year would have done to the team's confidence.  They're overcoming a huge obstacle, missing key players, battling for each other, integrating youth, and showing some really good signs (just not complete 60 games yet but i feel like those are coming).

 

I thought it said a lot when i saw how Holtby hugged Rathbone afterwards.  There's been a lot of turnover this year and the deadline guys and the new guys are starting to gel and build chemistry.
