That was reckless and is deserving of a suspension.

I'd sooner focus on Nurse's intentional crosscheck to the face. That's a blatant violent act that could do a lot of damage. But that's OK. Tom Wilson ending the season of a star is OK too. No problem. But what the NHL will *absolutely not* tolerate is a clean hit where multiple body parts made contact. Unacceptable.

 

Honestly, if they wanted to look at any Vancouver play last night it should have been Hamonic's hit to the head on the Oil player.

They're a joke of a department. I see zero consistency in how they make their rulings.

If they suspend Mac:

Have a zoom call where J.B. says " Not happy with the decision, but that's the way it goes".

 All nicey nicey; however:

Behind J.B. should be a big screen t.v. showing the Larsson attempted headshot, the takedown from last night's fight, the Wilson debacle etc.

 

J.B. doesn't comment on the looping video, just says " Not happy....." then sits there for a few minutes as the video loops over and over.

What about for lifting his leg during the fight.  That was incredibly dangerous against a player without a helmet who is off balance. There should be an uproar over that.  

 

Department of player safety is a stupid name for a Department that seems to care very little about player safety.

That would be great. Very effective. Not sure if Jim would do that. Seems to be a status quo type of guy.
