Either way predicting it is going to be a one sided whooping courtesy of the Canes

Preds have got great goaltending this year, I don’t think they can keep up with the pace of Carolina though.

Good on Nashville for not giving up after their poor start, and finding a way in despite some key injuries.

 

That said, I think Carolina is too good and deep, that they win in 5. Good chance they make the cup finals.

Preds are getting hot at the right time and while you can say the same against the Canes but the last 2 games Preds beat the Canes very connivingly.

The last game was without some key regulars as they were being rested.  No Slavin, Pesce, Hamilton, Svechnikov, Staal and Nedeljkovic for Carolina.  Josi, Ellis, Ekholm, Granlund, Arvidsson among others were out for Nashville.  It was mostly extras and depth players getting the minutes.  The starting goalies weren’t even dressed as backup.

The Predators will have more than 12,000 fans in their building, while the Hurricanes will only have about 6,000 until the restrictions loosen, but that will be in June. It looks like the Hurricanes won't have much home ice advantage with this.

The Hurricanes are increasing fan capacity to approximately 12,000 (64.2%) for tonight’s game and Round 1 against the Predators at PNC Arena.

The arena definitely looks more full than other teams’ arenas with the increased capacity and it’s definitely louder.
