-DLC-
Panthers' (18 year old) Sam Bennett to have hearing for Game 1 hit on Lightning's Coleman. Dangerous looking hit for sure. https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/panthers-bennett-hearing-game-1-hit-lightnings-coleman/
Rush17
Tampa can circumvent the cap and they get to take out one of their opponents best players for a so/so playoff hit. It's the playoffs... come on. lol
Hamhuis Hip Check
Wow thats not a good hit.... he had plenty of time to see his back turned and slow down or turn himself. If alberts got 4 games in the finals then bennet should at least be gone for this series, and if i had it my way he would be done for the playoffs entirely

Coconuts
I understand any Tampa frustration, but that's a bad hit If that were any of our guys being crunched like that I'd be pissed

Pears
Very easily could’ve been 5 and a game too. DoPS will just slap him with a $5K fine and be on their merry way.

Fanuck
That's basically the textbook example of the type of hit the NHL has said they've been trying to get out of the game for the past decade. If that's not a 1 goal game in the third period of a playoff game that's likely a line-brawl between these two clubs. As usual, the action the NHL takes (or doesn't take) will show us how seriously the DoPS is taking 'player safety'.

If it'd been regular season he'd likely have gotten more, but given the elimination nature of the playoffs one game carries more weight One could make an argument for two All this being said, playoffs games supposedly carrying more weight makes the Rome suspension all the more ludicrous I'm still angry about that

Absolute bs how that suspension was handled.
