Yes, we certainly need to see more of him and should be given fair opportunity to prove himself not just a few minutes on the ice every game or three.   Hopefully a bit of housecleaning on D will open a spot for him.

We have to remember this was Juolevi's first season. His development is slow, but its happening and I'm confident he'll be a solid D soon.
But, let's remember the number of instances where he was caught flat footed or lost his man due to foot speed this year. So a little more patience this season was justified.

Let Juolevi work on his game and skating this summer and he'll be fine by Green.

He scored 17 goals once 4 years ago, and his next highest was 11.

On pace for doesnt help win games if youre out with an injury for half the games.

3rd line center is definitely a place we need to upgrade.

54 goals in 275 is what it is no matter how you attempt to respin it.

yeah he was injured - has literally nothing to do with his on-ice performance.

oldnewsflash - players get injured.

do we need to upgrade at 1LW as well, because of injuries?

The UFA part scares me. His track record in that regard is not good.

He is ok at trades and certain buyouts are needed.

Add aggressive to that.    Owners new direction.   Lets be aggressive!

So much for a patient rebuild.

I like IMac's question, regarding the sched(why'd they accept it?)

JB's answer rather revelatory. The league hide's other team's sched. Sounds pretty damn sneaky. Is this the straight goods?

How will the league respond? They'll likely be p*ssed he stated this, if this is actually how they conducted affairs!

It was confirmed right after the trade deadline I believe - to do with rookie bonuses not being able to go into LTIR cap space vs replacement players.

That’s not true though.

Juolevi’s demotion created a bonus pool and only DiPietro could touch that pool and was never recalled.   When Juolevi comes back up his bonus goes in the bonus pool himself created.  The bonus was a non issue other than the Höglander 233K bonus which instead of being covered by Juolevi’s bonus pool would move back to the salary pool like it was before the demotion.

As for the salary portion, they had  more than enough cap to bring him back up.  They had the cap to claim Vesey and activate Motte without any further moves - ie before Pettersson going on LTIR.  They even found room to bring up Eriksson.  It wasn’t about cap other than a week where they had some questionable players.   He was scratched way more than a week.

It was actually their decision to play Michaelis and scratch MacEwen.  They needed Juolevi’s roster spot.

3 scoring lines? what does that mean? miller or horvat becomes 3rd line center? podkolzin starts on the second or third line. and first line of hoglander, petey, boeser? spend 3m on a speedy vet winger?

or sign a speedy 3c and have motte and podkolzin be the  wingers?

can we sign paquette though too? I want people to be scared for their lives when the 4th line is on.

Fail.

Juolevi played 13+  minutes.

He had 44.1% ozone starts this season and a secondary penalty killing role.

Harder minutes than the vast majority of rookie blueliners play.

Certainly 'critical moments' where he was on the ice.

Your take is flakey and based in wrongful assumption.

You are a very angry person.

Really???  That hardly qualifies as critical - just regular duties.
