Canucks chief operating officer Trent Carroll:

Quote

“We are continuing to prepare for all possibilities, including plans for a minimum of 5,000 fans to ultimately a full arena, as soon as we receive the green light to safely do so,” he said Monday. “So far, the province’s restart plan and vaccine rollout has been extremely encouraging and we hope to have a big crowd on opening night in October.”

I certainly hope the latter. people who aren't willing to help the cause shouldn't get to reap the benefits.

This.  Before people complain about "rights being infringed", the Canucks are a private business and vaccination status is not a protected group under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

I don’t think a private business can request medical information from a customer, I may be wrong but I could see lawsuits.

According to the BC restart plan, by September 7 masks will be optional (personal choice) and restaurants and businesses will be at full capacity.  It doesn't say specifically about hockey games (return of normal sports competitions), but I would assume unless we suffer a setback that we should be at full capacity for hockey games by opening night.

They can request vaccination records. Vaccination don't inherently disclose any medical cinditions.

Already done my most companies and universities as part of onboarding.

Are they going to let just anyone go to games or do people require a COVID passport to enter?

According to Dr. Bonnie Henry a vaccine passport will only be needed for international travel...

Provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry says a vaccine passport will not be required to access services and businesses in B.C. However, it may be required for international travel

I can only imagine the ticket prices.

Especially for the opener, if its against the Kraken, and its their first ever game, and the border is open.  But yeah 5000 seats will be in very high demand even if the teams sucks.

So I can ask customers for proof of flu vaccination or there viagra prescription before I let them in? Schools and employer are different than some pimply faced kid asking a customer for medical records.
