If you're giving away that much, they better be taking Eriksson back as part of it. The 9OA and some cap balancing pieces should get the deal done. But a player with a NMC can have his status changed if the player chooses to waive it. It would seem strange to me that a team couldn't meet minimum exposure requirements with an exempt player if they chose to do so. I know I can't find anything that specifically answers this question one way or the other but, to me, common sense would say a team should be able to do this at their discretion.
