Hmmm, I don’t know man, methinks this is kind of a Sedin-esque where if you trade for one, you’re probably better off trading for both. A legit “package” type deal

Castration isn’t so bad. We’re talkin getting rid of Louie Eriksson here.
We’d all be proud of you taking one for the team…or losing two.

By the way, Burkie’s on the phone with an offer for ya…

Well I would give my left nut to get Eriksson the &^@# out of here .

walnut brain | TumblrThat's a no brainer. Money aside, it must suck to be Loui. I'm sure he wanted to be successful here and probably had high hopes. The own goal ruined him. Nothing but negativity thrown his way ever since. It's too bad a team can't re-negotiate a contract if a player plays that far below his pay grade. The agents and NHLPA would have a fit over that though.

That would be his cap, but what about his total salary?  Would Aqua still have to for out the 9.5m salary?

Another one is Domi + 1.5M retention.  He is certainly worth $3.8m as a great playmaker, good skater, tenacity and can play LW or C.  He does have a shoulder injury which will have him on LTR for a month or 2.

I think Domi is out until November. The cap hit is what matters. Not sure what the salary payout would be.

Tarasenko and Podkolzin can hang out together. If we can trade for Zadorov and Trenin we may be able to field our own Soviet Red Army team with lots of girth.

Seattle must choose a minimum of 20 players under contract for the 2021-22 regular season and those with an aggregate Expansion Draft value that is between 60-100 percent of the prior season's upper limit for the salary cap. The Kraken cannot buy out players chosen in the Expansion Draft earlier than the summer following its first season.

Current NHL teams can protect seven forwards, three defensemen and one goalie, or eight skaters (forwards/defensemen) and one goalie, under the following conditions.

The Kraken also have an exclusive window from July 18-21 to interview and potentially sign pending free agents who were left unprotected in the expansion draft. If they sign a player in that window it counts as their pick from that players' former team.

* All players with no movement clauses at the time of the draft, and who decline to waive those clauses, must be protected and will be counted toward their team's applicable protection limits.

* All first- and second-year professionals, and all unsigned draft choices, will be exempt from selection and will not be counted toward protection limits.

In addition, all NHL teams must meet the following minimum requirements regarding players exposed for selection in the draft:

* One defenseman who is a) under contract in 2021-22 and b) played in at least 40 NHL games the prior season or played in at least 70 NHL games in the prior two seasons.

* Two forwards who are a) under contract in 2021-22 and b) played at least 40 NHL games the prior season or played in at least 70 NHL games in the prior two seasons.

* One goalie who is under contract in 2021-22 or will be a restricted free agent at the end of his current contract immediately prior to 2021-22. If a team elects to make a restricted free agent goalie available to meet this requirement, that goalie must have received his qualifying offer prior to the submission of the team's protected list.

* Players with potential career-ending injuries who have missed more than the previous 60 consecutive games (or who otherwise have been confirmed to have a career-threatening injury) may not be used to satisfy a team's player exposure requirements unless approval is received from the NHL. Such players also may be deemed exempt from selection.

Exactly 8 vs 7+3

Beware the shoulder injury.

Dallas has been really hard to play against in recent years. They've had good depth and they've also had our number. Dickinson has been part of those hard to play against Stars teams we've faced.

Good signing. Also think he's a good fit for what Brad Shaw will be bringing in terms of a defensively responsible mindset.

I’m also super impressed this trade happens with Dallas of all teams after those rumours about the owners of our two franchises.

great trade in so happy about this.

im sad tho that larsson intends to resign with the oilers even tho on open marker he’s looking for Tanev money.

hed really be the perfect partner to add for Hughes and our group.

so we need to figure out a trade for Schmidt and get a D man back and sign a Lw or sign a RHD for Hughes and trade Schmidt for LW.
