I am sure this has been asked but....

If the Krack take Kole is the trade considered Kole + 3rd for Dickenson?

If so, does it matter?

I have been asking myself that question and don't really know yet.

No because every team other than VGK loses a player.  Can't think of a trade that way.

Funny thing is. The media made it out that Lind would be the guy that Benning was going to protect before Dickinson. I bet it was going to be Highmore

That's a good point

To answer your question though. I don’t think it matters. It’s out of their control who they pick and clearly Dickinson was thought of a lot higher then the players we are exposing

Question is ... do you do the same with whoever the Kraken take?  If its Holtby, do you think the trade is Holtby + 3rd for Dickenson?  I hope you don't do that.

Just feeds a narrative.

Benning is a winner on the Holtby trade

Benning is a loser on the Lind trade.

Fits however the person wants it to.

Less offense/ceiling. WAY bigger.

Man I'd love love me a 20-something Salo to pair with Hughes. Underrated D man.

From what I saw last year, Juolevi will

be a Salo/Ohlund hybrid.

The kid is solid on his feet and make excellent decisions. Hopefully he is not punished for his mistakes. Or put another way, I hope he is given as much leeway as Hughes is given.

How about if the Kraken take “Kole” (as if you knew him personally…), then they take “Kole”.

Period.

Sure. But he doesn't play right side.

Have to add back whoever they would have taken if we were protecting Lind instead (Gadjovich? MacEwan? Virtanen?)

But it's a silly way to look at it IMO. The ED is what the ED is. Every team loses someone.

Correct.

The equation would be Kole plus 3rd = Dickinson plus Gadjovich (for example).
So the inevitability of the ED loss still factors into the equation.
Perhaps it is marginally worse to lose Lind than Gadjovich, but it’s not Lind alone in a vacuum.

Even Drance says he's a good defensive forward.

My favorite part is when he says the only way Vancouver can shed Holtby is if they sweeten the deal for SEA with assets and/or retention. And a couple minutes later, it's all about how the Kraken could load up on goalies. Due to the interest in Holtby they may want to pick him and flip him.

Well if I am being honest I couldn't remember if it was Lind or Linde.

I was 97% sure it was Lind but my phone wants to do "Linden" and I was too lazy to confirm.
