Jim needs to back off for this year.  Next year we will have cap space.

Just go to the draft. Get those kids signed.

we have to move cap to bring in a top 4 d. We're fishing in the secondary pond this year sans a trade involving Nate. So Hamonic maybe tomorrow?

The Kraken are going to grab up the ufa D men and then clubs like Van will need to trade with them to get anything.

Jim may need to use our first to get anything for our back end.

This will be very interesting to watch.

Hate to say you're right, but you are.

Just play the kids, ride out the bad contracts, go for a good draft pick and sell Miller for a king's ransom next offseason.

They need to focus on signing the kids first.

ah, no. Why the hell would we panic and do that?

Do you have 100% confidence he wouldn't do that?  Based on his management so far?  His "no plan" plan is unpredictable to say the least.

Could definitely happen and wouldn't be the worst thing at 1 x 1 in a bottom pairing role with a partner who can move the puck.

He's good at moving the puck.....to the opposing team.  But in sheltered minutes as a depth guy (if he makes the minimum), I could stomach his acquistion.

Lots of low-cap guys so far. Makes you worry there's a big UFA out there they might snag, or they might just save their money. They've said they aren't keen on the big signings but we'll see where Landeskog ends up...

Dougie Hamilton.

yes, I do.  I think the plans have been very clear over his tenure, not sure how its been unpredictable.

Dunn RFA, Fleury RFA, Giordano 6.75 mil and 38 yrs old, Larsson would have been nice, Oleksiak in demand LHD will be overpaid.

Let's all settle down and remember these are the players teams didn't protect.

couldn't protect + were not wiling to protect (would have cost a 1st round pick and 3rd round pick for Giordano).

Oleksiak would be a clear upgrade on Canucks blueline.

Larsson = slam dunk in Canucks situation
