Olesiak or Larsson he coulda sacrificed a 7th to get negotiating rights first and giving up 3rd for 4th liner Dickson and not Appleton is gonna be another huge blunder for Benning

Huge blunder. 30 other GMs are all failures as well because they passed on trading for the rights to the same players you mentioned. Go figure.

30 other gms don’t have gm who’s failed to make hockey trades like this and put there team in cap he’ll and have missed playoffs constantly

They were going to become UFAs in seven days. Why would you use a pick (and a 7th wouldn't have done it) for a player, who very well might not have been interested in being here?

Six other teams made offers to Dallas for Dickinson, so it wasn't a blunder at all.

I already &^@#ing hate Seattle.

Their is going to be horrid, and will be compared to Vegas.  It’s going to be funny watching their Loser Team try to spin a positive narrative, when the questions are about how good Vegas is and how bad Seattle is.

I must have been daydreaming about us being one season removed from a solid playoff appearance

If we trade Lind, they take Mac or Gadj. Every team loses a player. Does your brain not get that?

Plus, Lind is a bustaroo, so to hell with him now.  He’ll be on waivers before the season even starts.  Much happier keeping Gads and Mac.  Big boppers baby!

But that doesn't make sense from Larsson's side of things. What allegiance does Larsson have to Seattle that he would sign with them and immediately permit them to trade his rights to another franchise?

Why not? Do you think that he and his agent wouldn't be involved if there was a side deal in place? Seattle would have informed him and had his okay before they chose him.

I was also just posting a hopeful possibility.

Why wouldn't he just wait to sign with the recipient and save them the assets?

Let’s see what happens post ED tho Alf.

Essentially Francis’ actions have agitated the market with some major contracts and by not (visibly yet) making side deals for the ED, he’s now effectively saturated the market with teams looking to offload cap and term. The sneakiest move of all tho is that Sea is now one of only few teams that can take on these inflated, overpriced contracts, which in turn devalues them even further.

I’m so curious to see if Francis executes on this and for who and what.

From our perspective it avoids a bidding war and we get our guy. From his perspective, he gets to come to a city that he has shown interest in according to his agent.

Also without the extra cap space we may not be able to afford him and might have to go after lesser D-men with low cap hits.

And once again, this is not a prediction. It's basically wishful thinking.

Or we have a graves leddy on our d corp so losing mac or gadj hurts less this team and players all want to win they don’t want another year

of being in bottom picking top 10 waiting 4 years for prospects
