austy
Did we just trade beagle and Erikson's contracts for a similar problem in a few years though? 1

Squamfan
God awful. Perfect example of gm saving is Job. Those contract came of the books in a year a year. 2 1
Popular Post rekker
OEL makes our D instantly better. Our empty net production sucks now with LE gone though. 2 3 1 13
ilduce39
I can’t process whether I like this trade or not. I loved the 9 but Garland is solid, I think OEL is better than he’s shown and damn did we flush the bad contracts. 1

Let’s go boys! we lost the 9th, but we've gained a potential 3C, a top 4 d, and a top 6 scoring wingers and dumped our duds. Thats a heck of a lot of changes. and we might not be done. awalk
We had one year left of really awful contracts and then we were in the clear. They've added an albatross of a contract here. Garland is a nice little add but holy f&*#b@11z this is an awful move. 2 years without a 1st round pick... good luck to the next guy, gonna be as bad as Gillis left it.

This continues to be some of the dumbest fan logic in existence. Especially since the league is going smaller, the impact of being a smaller player is less of an issue, especially for a guy that plays with the tenacity of Garland. Beary Sweet
Oh welp. So I guess there's no point in watching the draft now. But considering the lack of strength of this draft, I'd rather give our 1st rounder this year than next year. This gives us some wiggle room now for Petey and Huggy Bear who we have to lock up. Next year's draft is much more exciting and deeper. 2022 Cup champs are your Vancouver Canucks!!!
