Wasn’t getting the consensus #3 in Podkolzin at 10 a bigger deal than Lekkermaki at 15?

I know people were generally happy with Pods but some Twitter weirdos are doing backflips over Lekkermaki.  All good, I guess! Hope he pans out.

I think with Podz there would have been a hesitation as we saw Tryamkin head back to Russia and Goldobin not pan out. We've had back luck with Russians as of late.

Make no mistake though, Podz was supposed to be #3 overall and it was only his Russia status, along with him not being given a big enough role on his team over there, that let him fall really.

I've said I don't see us contending sooner than later, I stand by that

I think it'll take longer to turn this thing around

I'm very excited for this upcoming year. It will be very telling of the path we take for the future that's for sure.

As a fan that likes to drink and cheer, I just want the positive route. It is very likely we take the longer path however based of our current roster and prospect pool. But you never know, Maybe new management can give everyone a confidence boost. Did we see a glimpse of that already last year? Or was it the typical new coach boost?

Soo many questions and only time will tell imo

I don’t think should have. But could have.

im surprised more people aren’t excited about lekkerimaki.

In his rookie SHL season with Djurgarden, he scored seven goals in 26 games. That made Lekkerimaki the second most-productive 17-year-old goal-scorer in SHL history after the legendary Peter Forsberg, who had seven goals in 23 games for MODO in 1990-91.

Time will tell.

Again, I have confidence in our management team, but I personally would have swung for the fences.

There's nothing to really base that confidence on though. It's a blank slate. We'll see.

Hope for the best.

That's what I meant

I think the Gaudreau, Kadri, and Malkin domino's get things going

Not a lot of center's available

I'm sure many gms are thinking why trade the future for the same aged and skill type you can get this FA
