The leadership was getting stale (imo) and it was time for BB, EP and QH to take some of the leadership role on the team since they are the face of the franchise.

Lots of options: BB, EP, QH with the young and Myers, Pearson & etc.

OEL and JT

I think both are definitely candidates.  However, I'm not sure they put that pressure on OEL after what he went through in AZ.  I also think Miller is too hot headed for a letter.

I do think Myers is the most likely add........do they give a letter to a member of the young core?  Petey?  Boes?

Brock should be included imo.

He's done nothing except overcome adversity and deliver on the ice since he's been here.  He has the character that you look for in a leader.

I'm not a big Bies fan, but I think he's a likely candidate for the rep of the younger core.

Imo, it's time for one of them to take it on but it will be up to the individual & the locker room.  A much more important form of leadership/mentoring in sports are the coaches and I am looking forward to what Shaw can deliver on this end.

Your leadership group are the bridge between coaching/front office and the players.  Primarily, they need to be cohesive as a group and also have solid relationships with every player on the roster.

I think Myers is close to a lock.  Miller, I feel, might be the guy in the room who is hard on players and that's not a great quality for a guy with a letter.  They need to be able to communicate with the rank and file and I don't see that in Miller.  To me, he's more of a guy who's play fires guys up and you don't need a letter for that

Good point, they might very well go with the guys who filled in last year.

There will be another one though to alternate on home/away games? I think we usually have 3 A’s anyway

Three A's is a definite possibility, but I hope they ditch the home/away thing.  Choose a leadership team and stick with it, imo
