Chris12345
Yea he didn't give them away. I don't agree with the direction because I like building from the draft (doesn't mean I am right) but he didn't give the picks away. 1 1

Popular Post Dixon Ward
We don't have a forward over 28. We have had 4 straight years with calder votes and likely this year with Podkolzin and Rathbone. We still have Gadjovich, Woo, and Dipietro, plus some other very intriguing prospects. When JB got here he had Gaunce, Subban, and Corrado. Donnie and Dhaliwal should get on with their lives. This is pathetic! Go Canucks Go! 2 2
Hairy Kneel
Gave away 23 picks makes no sense. What rounds were these? For which players? How many did he get back in trades? Title sounds click baity. Edited July 27, 2021 by Hairy Kneel 1

The question now becomes; Can the Canucks build up a strong enough organization to win a cup with this approach or, will the short term rewards gained by trading away all these draft picks leave us short and in an eternal "sloppy-second place" type finishes and ongoing retooling/rebuilding due to always being short a few assets in the cupboard? "Given away" is a ridiculous statement. For the first time in our franchise history we have been able to use our draft picks as trade bait and to sweeten deals. Now we have a solid team less a few pieces on defence, now we can continue to stock our cupboards for the next 3-5 years Edited July 27, 2021 by Sbriggs

HC20.0
Dylan Guenther and Rasmus Andersson are really the only ones that might. That’s 2/23, I think we’re okay.

Obviously you are not serious. 2014 to 2021. Eight years of draft picks at seven rounds per year = 56 picks. Actual number of picks made by JB = 54. Hmmmm.....far cry from 23. 3 1 1
Bure_Pavel
For having a front office that's greatest strength is drafting we probably shipped out too many 2nd rounders, but no need to live in the past. Especially seeing picks like Demko and Hoglander in the second. I feel like the end of the first and beginning of the second rounds are when good scouting is like gold.

And drafting a great young core, then supplementing them with really high end players via trade, like Miller, Garland, and OEL. Our team is going to have a great season, and coming 5 years! 3

CanadianRugby
Well it's obvious when your best skill is drafting, and your team is "rebuilding"... You trade all your draft picks away. Sound strategy.
